5th Training Course 2019 in Non-Invasive Brain Stimulation (NIBS)
Non-invasive brain stimulation techniques (so-called NIBS) have been and remain useful tools in clinical research, but they are becoming more and more a part of our therapeutic toolbox, too. Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS), with its growing set of evidence on safety and effectiveness, has already spread out of the traditional research laboratory to become a true clinical tool to treat an increasing number of psychiatric and neurological conditions. In its footsteps, the more recent technique of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) is evolving even quicker, promising a similar safety and efficacy profile and a much more convenient utilization by patients.
Developed in cooperation with some of the most renowned specialists (national and international), these courses aim to provide medical professionals with the necessary knowledge to effectively utilize rTMS and tDCS in relevant cases. Information on the mechanisms of action and the most recent clinical results will be presented and active, hands-on training will allow each participant to use the latest stimulation devices. Interaction is at the core of our training concept. The course will be held in English.
We are looking forward to welcoming you for this new edition of the NIBS Training Course in Berne.
